God reconciles

“All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation” (2 Corinthians 5:18, NLT).

The world has never seen much unity. Nations, tribes, villages and families have all suffered from the effects of pride, stubbornness, suspicion and mistrust. In our incredibly politically correct culture, it seems to be getting worse. No one can compromise on anything, let alone agree.

The unity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is the only true unity and is the source of God’s desire to see us reconciled with him and each other. The word reconcile is from the Latin “to bring together again” and that is what God did in Christ. He has brought us together with him and in him. His reconciliation is complete and total. May it flow through us to everyone we meet as we minister reconciliation to a torn apart world.
