God of no limits

“Jesus looked at them intently and said, ‘Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible’” (Matthew 19:26, NLT).

Jesus’ response to the question, “Then who in the world can be saved?” is inspiring, beautiful and quoted often by Christians as the answer to pretty much everything. We use it to encourage ourselves in difficult situations, inspire us through life’s tragedies and most of all, to remind us of who God is.

We are constantly reminded of our own limitations. We get tired, frustrated and sometimes want to throw in the proverbial towel. Jesus’ words here can strengthen us and give us courage to keep going. Unfortunately, because of our own limitations, we are tempted to believe God has them too. Some beliefs and attitudes actually do just that, as they put God in a box and define who he is by drawing lines around how we think he does things. We need to remember God has no limits. None. And he will not be put in a box.
