“Then the name of our Lord Jesus will be honored because of the way you live, and you will be honored along with him. This is all made possible because of the grace of our God and Lord, Jesus Christ” (2 Thessalonians 1:12, NLT).

When most people think of grace, they remember the song Amazing Grace or the phrase, “There but for the grace of God go I.” Perhaps they think of forgiveness or blessings. But grace is so much more. It a powerful energy (for lack of a better word), emanating from the heart of God. Even those who don’t believe he exists are included in his life and love because every human being is part of his creation.

God’s grace permeates every aspect of life. He provides all we need for life to everyone. But those who have been touched on the inside by his grace know how truly remarkable it is. Grace transforms the heart from being insecure, out for itself, defensive, anxious and fearful to one that is secure in God’s love, can care for others and doesn’t fear for the future. It’s almost like a vine, first sending out a little shoot, then wrapping itself around everything within reach. Grace is alive, active, moving and shaking, making things happen! Amazing indeed.
